The interesting part here isn’t the perks, it’s the way Product Hunt and Vercel are structuring distribution. By tying visibility (leaderboard placement) to a specific launch day and tag, they’re effectively creating a themed marketplace inside Product Hunt. That concentrates attention, but also compresses competition every Vercel‑built product is fighting for the same slot on June 16.

From a founder’s perspective, that changes the calculus: you’re not just launching to the PH community, you’re launching into a curated cohort where differentiation matters more than timing. It’s closer to a demo day than a typical PH drop.
