I get excited every time I get the PH Games email. Running out of space of my phone with all these games. 😁

This could be huge for the mobile and indie gaming industry. These days, it's just so hard to discover new titles, and a lot of indie games just never get discovered. However, with an amazing discovery tool like Product Hunt throwing its weight behind this, the gaming industry could really be shaken up for the better. I also hope this encourages more development of indie games because of the promise of having passionate users the first day. Also, nice job on the redesign!
There are product nerds, and then there are gamer's. This is going to get very big, very fast. Great idea and execution PH. If I had kids I would just let them have at this. Which presents the idea that is often suggested for regular PH, filters, for the games. Mostly age filters so I can let my nephews and niece get on here. Level up for PH.
@paultomkinson we're exploring filters which is increasingly important for games but I honestly haven't considered age filters. Maybe we should create a Kid-focused Games Digest. 😀 cc @russfrushtick
Awesome launch, so meta to chat PH on PH; it makes the most sense to move next into this category with something like (I'd guess to be) 85%+ user demo overlap. I assume the plan is to slowly move into new verticals that intersect strongly like this until the whole world is hunting products, services, news, etc. @rrhoover, do you have a dedicated team working on PHG curation & sourcing, or is the team spread across all of PH?
Thanks, @thomasle0n! Yes, @russfrushtick is heading the community side and the rest of the team is dividing and conquering both tech+games from an engineering, marketing, and design/product POV. Longer term we might split the team's focus on certain categories as they mature but that's all TBD.
This is a great move. So many fantastic games getting released by indie developers. Any extra channel to give them an audience is good news.

@thricha thanks! Having worked in gaming and speaking with many indie devs, I'm very aware of this. We're excited to build a community and platform to surface gems that traditionally may never cut through the noise.
