How much time is worth investing in Product Hunt?

I've been here for almost 3 years (it'll be in 8 days).

During that time, I've done a lot of things:

– I launched something (in the early days, I hunted), but most of the time

– I've been testing products,

– supporting makers,

– giving reviews and

– creating discussions and leaving comments.

I've spent a lot of time here over the years.

At most 2 hours/day. Currently, I manage to do it within 45 minutes.

  • How much time do you spend on Product Hunt per day?

  • What would "make" you be here more? (Suggest anything that would increase your presence here.)

Been spending most of my time here lately. I mean even if its not full on active, its open somewhere in my burried tabs, and I come back to it maybe every some hours for a refresh and see what's going on haha.

Ofcourse, reading and learning more about the product launches is a plus.

I usually hang out on Reddit and Product Hunt. I must be spending an hour or more daily.

I really wish the PH team would allow us to integrate dadan video platform. It will allow makers to host video and add custom CTA on top (even forms and other interactions), making it 100% better than youtube embeds which are distracting at the moment. Fingers Crossed.

It’s been 11+ years for me on PH. Back then it was just a fun project but @rrhoover and wasn’t acquired by AngelList - I use it about 2-3 hours per week - primarily to see where the world is moving - also to support founders. - wish I could spend more time here. What I like - listing now show top 5 odd hunts only per day. - Gives me time to focus only on those which are getting traction - feel bad for those who aren’t being able to make it to top 5 of the day but that’s how the world is (Google’s 1st page) - like the community discussions What I dislike - your dark pattern notifications (it’s been 7 days streak, don’t break) - I know I haven’t been here daily so this is clearly fake and reduces trust. - shows how an amazing site is becoming VC pushed thingy. What can be made better? - Recommendation engine. Don’t stick to category I liked by clicking on it. Instead create a heat map of categories I generally upvote/comment and then nudge me about new launches there

@rrhoover  @rohit11 It seems that the categories option is more quoted than I expected. Maybe something like that would be really welcome by the community! :)

maybe I spent like 30 minutes / day nowadays.. uhm, maybe they can add a "group call" option or something like people can "live stream" their launch day & what they're doing.. I don't know.. but something that maybe make it easier for people to talk to each other.. without adding DMs stuff that might bring too many spams.
