Not startup ideas, real problems.

is a new experiment: instead of guessing what to build, get direct access to real problem interviews with your target audience.

Here's how it works:

  1. We pick a specific target group — e.g. "handymen in the US," "relocators to Europe," "insurance agents."

  2. We run "problem interviews" with them — 5-8 questions to uncover what's actually bothering them.

  3. We package 50-100 of these interviews per target group into a single publication — real answers, real pain points, no guesswork.

We're testing this format right now and would love your input:

Would this be useful for you? Drop a comment — yes/no, and why.

What matters more to you: the answers themselves, or being able to reach out to respondents directly (with their consent)? Let us know in the comments — this will shape what we build next.

What target group would you want to see covered first? Tell us in the comments — the most requested ones get picked first.

Hey Product Hunt 👋

I'm building ProblemHunt because I kept seeing founders (myself included) build things nobody asked for. So instead of another idea-validation tool, this is closer to "here's what real handymen in the US are actually struggling with — go build for that."

Right now we're testing a new format: picking a specific audience, running 50-100 problem interviews with them, and packaging real answers (and, with consent, contacts) into one publication.

Would genuinely love to hear what you think, and which audience you'd want us to interview first 🙏
