One month in: 20,070 discount claims checked, 16,816 were inflated

Hey everyone — quick update since launching here a month ago.

We've now checked 20,070 discount claims against our own daily price history, and 16,816 of them turned out to be inflated (the seller's "before" price wasn't the real recent price). We're tracking 79,119 listings and have logged 1,121,570 individual price readings so far.

A few other things we've found along the way:

• 45 listings are selling the exact same product photo at meaningfully different prices across different shops (one case over 2x apart).

• Right now, 8,340 tracked listings are sitting at the lowest price we've ever recorded for them.

Everything is counted from data we collect ourselves, not scraped claims from sellers. Happy to answer questions about methodology, what we exclude, or where the data might be wrong — we keep a running list of corrections too.
