Hey Product Hunt Every MacBook has that black notch at the top of the screen. It hides the camera, and that's its whole job. I'm on my Mac all day, and I kept losing track of my own work: what someone asked me in Slack, what I promised to send, where I saw that one number last week. So I gave the notch a second job: remembering things for me. PrettiNotch is a quiet memory that lives in your notch: Replies in your tone. A little flower shows up beside any text box. Click it (or tap ⌥) and it drafts the reply from what it knows, the way you actually write: short or formal, emoji or none. Chat with your memory. Click the notch and ask "what did I promise Prakash?" or "where did I see that pricing doc?" Or just hold ⌥ and ask out loud. The answer opens right in the notch. Never miss a promise. It notices when you say you'll do something and nudges you from the notch at the right time, with Done or Snooze. Plus a few extras: a file shelf in the notch, "what's the gist?" for the YouTube video you're watching, and a little wiki of the people and projects it has learned about. On privacy, since an app that remembers your work had better be trustworthy: - Your memory lives in a database on your Mac, not on our servers. - Password fields, private windows and sensitive apps (password managers, banking, System Settings) are never read. - Your voice is turned into text on your Mac and never uploaded. - You can see every request it sends, pause it with one click, exclude any app, or erase everything. It's free during beta (macOS 14+, Apple silicon), with nothing to set up beyond signing in. I'd love to know two things: what would you want your notch to remember for you, and where does it get things wrong? I'm here all day and reading every comment. 🙏
