Hello! I'm Peter, the Founder and CEO of Polywork. We are on a mission to help the next generation of professionals build their brand, connect with others and make side income. Part of our product enables people to create a personal website to be the home for their professional identity online. However, we kept hearing just how long and laborious setting up a personal website was. The overwhelming consensus was that all of us have tried to set up a personal/portfolio website over the last few years but they usually end up abandoned as no one has the time anymore. ‘I’ve been meaning to get one but haven’t got around to it’ was the common response. So we went to work. We posed the question, ‘Could we leverage AI to generate an entire personal website with a person’s real content, from simply pasting in their LinkedIn profile? Well, we did it. Here's how it works: 1. Head here: 2. Simply paste in your LinkedIn URL 3. Choose a template you love ...and let our AI do the rest. You can check out some amazing websites created already here: Justin Washington, Product Manager at Apple, Peter Johnston, Founder at Polywork (my site!), Michelle Volz, Investor at A16Z, Skate Byrne, Software Engineer, Dimitrious Valiotis, Sales Consultant at Google, Polywork is free + people can upgrade to premium for exclusive beautiful templates, a free custom domain, premium blocks, advanced search and more. As a small thank you to the PH community, here’s two discount codes for anyone who wants to upgrade to Premium! Valid till next Friday! 25% off monthly subscription: POLYWORK-12M 25% off annual subscription: POLYWORK-1Y
That seems a really great solution well done! However while testing it didn't generated me a website. maybe it's a bug. anyway, cool staff and Congratulations!
weird can you describe what happened and in what browser? Ill try to fix!
i likes your product
congrats on the launch and the pivot!
I didn't get this option
Great concept, thought the design didnt always match because of low quality photos on my end but its a great way to get started. Your onboarding is also pretty good as you push people to get started without having to sign up which I always appreciate. More feedback in video form here, all the best!
Totally agree, we expect most people to replace their low res Linkedin profile that we pull in but agree its a good starting place for folks! Thanks for the feedback!
Hey Frank, it's one of the engineering team here. Thanks for the video, it was super informative and great to get some zoomed out perspective of things especially when working day in day out so close to a product. There are definitely some education pieces we can put in here to reduce confusion. Additionally I agree with your comments about decision paralysis and keeping things simple. Making domain purchase a bit prominent too is also a great call out! Hoping we can iterate and improve all the points you raised over the coming weeks and months.
awesome, keep going!
Love the retro template with ascii art!
thanks André, thanks possibly my fav too but I’m currently rocking the Orb template but also with the black and dark green color scheme.. () Matrix vibes 😅
This will get really interesting in the future. Looking forward to hyper personalised website templates that use generative Ai.
Thats the idea! It was one of the reasons we rebuilt the entire Polywork product from the ground up as we saw a huge long term opportunity for our professional identity graph (all the badges etc) and generative AI..
Definitely! I think this is just the start. Framer etc is doing similar things. But too generic atm. But you have to start somewhere. The true power comes when you can create non-generic representation on the web. What do you mean by badges?
Congrats on the launch! It’s been great using the product over the last few months and this is a great change to reduce the friction of building a personal site. Nice work!
thanks so much! And for being one of the earliest adopters of this! Loving the logo wall on your site 🔥
Your site 💯 - love your feedback! Thanks for being an early adopter.
Wow it's so easy to create a snazzy professional website for LinkedIn users. Great work Peter. Supported. Congratulations to you and your team
So glad you are loving it!
This is actually pretty neat and a pleasant surprise. Congrats, Polywork team!
thanks Dan! 🙏
Thank you, Dan! We loved to hear that. 💯
Oh wow. This is amazing. I think all the LinkedIn influencers would surely love using this
We agree! 🎉 Thanks for the great feedback here.
😂 hopefully! Spread the word! 🙏
Congratulations on the launch! Loved the concept and the results which came. Good luck!
This is great to hear! Thanks so much for your feedback.
Wow, this should be amazing. LinkedIn AI extensions to improve your profile and then this to generate a website in minutes. What else you need to build a personal brand ?
🔁 Right?! Looking forward to seeing your site on Polywork
Super cool!! I already shared it with some folks who need a quick website refresh for job hunting. I noticed that it doesn't really populate the web links you have under "Contact info" which typically would be one's portfolio/website, side projects, etc. It seems to be pulling from my "Volunteering" section, and some other links, but not those primary ones. Probably getting confused. Could you look into that? Thanks!
Thank you for surfacing this. The team is looking into this!
all good, and congrats!
Hey thanks for giving it a try, and bringing that to my attention. We'll definitely take an into what happened there. How did the rest of it work for you?
oh, it is very intuitive, and I love the onboarding process to help make it a bit customized from the start! I was shocked at how many "tags" were available already 😄 I'll have to explore more later to see how far I can take the "editing" process! I wasn't sure how to get to the "Blocks" editing until I went to the Editor tab and scrolled the tabs. Maybe consider highlighting those blocks as the user hovers their mouse over them so they can more easily discover the "Block" editor? I also don't see a way to edit my hero image (just a giant image of my face now lol!)
