@mohsinproduct Thanks for asking! Pola is based on WKWebView, so it uses WebKit just like Safari. I also added the option to unload a specific tab or all tabs, giving you a quick way to free up resources when they’re not in use. On the roadmap, there’s also an auto-unload feature that will let you set a time limit for inactive tabs.

Does it have a command palette? Like @oak_cassidy I also prefer spaces. Most spaces I have are the same profile vs different ones @matteo_ricupero. Congrats on the launch.
@oak_cassidy@kenyarmosh Yes it includes Cmd+T shortcut where you can access your browsing history and open tabs. In the future this feature will be expanded to include favorites and more. I’m also exploring options like spaces as suggested! Thank you for the feedback!

@matteo_ricupero Nice. I’d consider highlighting the command palette more. I was in early on Arc and initially found it because of that. 💪🚀
@kenyarmosh Yes I will promote that better and focus on adding more productive functionalities to it. Thanks!

Having the option for different profiles within the same folders is great, but i also do love arc's option for spaces. Any plan for be able to have different spaces? I use so many tools and sites, that the sidebar will fill up straight away. Also, no split views at the moment? Do you have a public roadmap?
@oak_cassidy Great points! Having both profiles and spaces could be really powerful, I’ll add that to the roadmap. Split view is already planned, together with PiP. There isn’t a public roadmap yet, but one will be shared soon. Follow the official channels (my personal X, or Pola Browser Reddit/Discord) to stay updated!

@matteo_ricupero thanks. Just noticed that I couldnt see a way to revert back to the saved url on a tab, or saved urls in folders, instead it stays on the last page you visited. I am used to be able to refresh back, or when reloading up a tab again, it starting from your saved url, rather than the last url
@oak_cassidy You can keep the saved URL on a tab by right-clicking and selecting "Use this website when restart", it works a bit like Arc’s "Pin". Do you think it would be useful to have a quicker way to do that?
Report
@matteo_ricupero Got it. I do like the ease of arc, where i can just double click to revert back to the saved url and that it automatically saves the base url when moving to the pinned tabs.
Can’t believe someone’s finally tackling memory overload with tons of tabs—my laptop fans are about to get a break! Super curious how Pola handles 30+ tabs compared to Arc...... any differentiating point?
@cruise_chen As already comment above, Pola is built on WKWebView, so it runs on WebKit just like Safari. It handles multiple tabs smoothly, and I added the ability to unload a specific tab or all tabs, making it easy to free up resources when you don’t need them. On the roadmap there’s also an auto-unload feature, so you’ll be able to set a time limit for inactive tabs.
@oak_cassidy Extension support is coming soon, starting with the most popular and useful ones. Sync will roll out together with the multi-platform release of Pola. Both are already on the roadmap!
@leah_madden Great! Sure all the platforms, mobile included planned! What do you refer to agents, AI providers? Thanks!
Report
@matteo_ricupero re: agent -- an overlay vs. navigating to Claude, GPT, etc. Perhaps you can indicate to the agent that you're working on business development today, and it organizes your CRM, Linkedin, etc at specific pages.
@leah_madden Thanks for clarifying! Pola is not meant to be an AI browser with agents built in. The AI features are focused on interacting with the content of the page you are on, like summarizing, rewriting or extracting. The goal is to keep it simple and useful, helping you stay productive and organized while browsing!

@matteo_ricupero How does memory handling compare when you’ve got 30+ tabs open versus something like Arc or Safari?
