We finished #3 on Product Hunt. What should we improve next?
Hey Product Hunt, Parsons here, founder of PodcastorAI.
A few days ago, we launched PodcastorAI and finished as the #3 Product of the Day. We’ve received more than 300 upvotes and 100 comments so far, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who tried the product, asked questions, or shared feedback.
PodcastorAI helps creators turn scripts, links, PDFs, ideas, or existing audio into solo or two-host video podcasts with AI hosts, digital twins, natural voices, captions, and editing tools.
The launch gave us strong validation, but it also showed us where we still need to improve. We’re currently reviewing the onboarding experience, first-episode workflow, host realism, voice quality, and editing controls.

What part of the workflow felt unclear?
What stopped you from finishing your first episode?
What feature or improvement would make you use it again?

Finishing #3 is a solid result, but I like that you're focusing on what comes next instead of stopping at the launch. That's usually where the real progress happens.

@debra_salt Thank you, that’s exactly how we see it. Finishing #3 was an encouraging milestone, but the launch is really just the starting point. The most important work now is listening to creators, improving the product, and turning that early momentum into something genuinely valuable over the long term.
One thing I'd love to see is an even faster first episode flow. Getting from an idea to a finished draft in just a few clicks would make it much easier to try.

@christian_onochie Absolutely. The first episode should feel almost effortless, so we’re working to reduce the number of decisions and steps between an idea and a finished draft. Our goal is to let new users experience Podcastor’s value within minutes, while still keeping deeper controls available when they need them.

Congrats on #3 Out of all the feedback you received, what was the one issue that surprised you the most but now sits at the top of your roadmap?

@maryam_nafees1 Thank you! The biggest surprise was how quickly people saw Podcastor not just as a tool for individual creators, but as part of a team production workflow. Requests for team seats, shared collaboration, and support for longer episodes, especially one-hour interviews, came up far more often than we expected, so those are now high on our roadmap.
We also heard strong demand for finer performance controls, more expressive emotions and body language, and more natural two-host interactions. We’re using all of this feedback to prioritize our next iterations and ship improvements as quickly as possible.
After reading 100+ comments, did any feature request completely change your original product vision? Those moments are usually the most interesting.

@maya_boothman The strongest shift came from the demand for team collaboration and longer episodes. We originally thought of Podcastor mainly as a fast creation tool for individual podcasters, but many people immediately imagined using it across content teams for interviews, webinars, education, and repurposing existing libraries.
It didn’t replace our original vision, but it expanded it: Podcastor can become a collaborative production workflow, not just a single-creator tool. That’s why team seats, shared workflows, and support for episodes up to an hour are now high priorities for us.
Do you think the product is closer to solving content creation or reducing creator anxiety? Feels like both are important, but I'm curious which problem you think you're actually winning.

@bailey_richardson2 I’d say we’re closer to reducing creator anxiety by removing the production burden. Podcastor can help shape scripts and turn ideas or existing audio into video, but the creator still brings the perspective, expertise, and story.
The problem we’re really trying to win is the gap between “I know what I want to say” and “I have a polished video podcast ready to publish.” If we can make that step feel predictable and manageable, creators can spend more energy on the content itself.
