Plus New Tab - Replace your new tab with a personalized dashboard

Hi Product Hunt! I’m Dan, cofounder and CEO of Plus. We’re really excited to launch the Plus New Tab on Product Hunt today and to hear the community’s feedback. First, what is Plus and how does it work? 💻 The average business today uses ~100 different apps, but it’s a mess to keep track of information across 100 different tools. Staying on top of everything requires constantly navigating between apps and websites on a regular basis. 💡 Plus lets you take live Snapshots of any app (think of a screenshot that automatically stays up to date) and embed them in the productivity tools you use every day. ✅ This lets you bring all your tools into one place as easily as taking a screenshot. What about the Plus New Tab? 🖥️ The new tab view is the most accessible part of your browsing experience, but it's also often very underutilized space. ✅ The Plus New Tab lets you pin your live Snapshots to a feed in your new tab. So all you have to do to access your personalized dashboard is open a new tab to stay on top of everything. Try it out and ask questions! 🆓 Plus is free to use while we’re in public beta. I love the idea! Congrats guys on the launch. Probably quite helpful and make the new tabs less boring. Will definitely try it and give you some feedback from my side then.

Hey there, I was checking out your product and I think the feature that captures updated screenshots of webpages is really cool! It could be super useful for tracking price changes, monitoring news updates, and keeping tabs on social media engagement. I was wondering if you're planning to add any additional features to make it even more valuable? Maybe something like real-time alerts or a comparison tool? For instance, a way to look at how metrics have changed, or for example to look at a website that estimates app downloads and get updates on that, etc. Also, I'm curious to know if you've received any feedback from users on how they're using this feature, and if there are any specific use cases that have surprised you? Lastly, I'm interested to know what your long-term vision is for this product, and how you see this feature fitting into that vision? @danielxli This is a great idea.. a truly custom data aggregator for the individual for any website... simple to use and seems to work out of the box with little to no effort! Great job! I am quite concerned about how you are able to get those screenshots: Are you storing request header data made by my machine on your servers?

Wow, I had been considering creating a similar product a while back because it is incredibly useful for organising screenshots of specific websites for record-keeping purposes, like crypto portfolio pages or data feed pages. Thank you so much for providing such an excellent product!
