This might make me finally buy an Apple TV. No Plex (or halfass Plex) had been the main thing keeping me off the platform.
Oh and Amazon Video. Did they get that one yet?
it s good but could be great. access to subtitles is a little clunky and could be brought from the main play menu - also unlike the samsung tv app - no way to set up subtitles size or colour. finally wish Siri search would work with it

Plex subtitles always out of sync on my Apple TV, anyone has the same problem? Is any better solution than this (only found currently)?https://www.winxdvd.com/streamin...
I've always been more into XBMC/Kodi over Plex... but recently I decided to put Plex Media Server on my media server & it's been wonderful. Having remote access is simply fantastic... while I haven't yet seen the benefit of the paid service, being able to seamlessly watch all my media on the new Apple TV sure is nice.
The previous limitations around local metadata seem to be gone, which is huge for me. What does everyone else think? What do you use?
Plex is worth the "top shelf" on Apple TV. For me it accounts for half of the device utility. The other half is iTunes Music and Vevo. I'm planning on dusting off my long forsaken 2006 Mac mini to turn it into Plex server.
My life is complete. The only challenge with Plex is that it should be running on a powerful server to handle on-the-fly conversion. I had it on a Drobo, which turned out to be a terrible idea. Mac Mini FTW.
