Hey Hunters! 👋 I’m thrilled to share Pixel Press with you today. I built this out of pure frustration. I was tired of using slow, ad-heavy websites that secretly upload personal IDs and financial documents to remote servers just to resize or compress them. I wanted to see how far I could push the browser without ever touching a backend. Under the hood: Pixel Press is built using pure Vanilla JS, HTML, and CSS (no heavy frameworks). The image processing relies entirely on the Canvas API, PDF manipulation uses pdf-lib, and the local OCR is powered by Tesseract.js running in Web Workers. It also heavily utilizes modern PWA features (IndexedDB, Service Workers, and Web Share Target API). The result? A tool that is lightning-fast, beautifully designed (glassmorphism UI), and respects your privacy by keeping files strictly on your device.
