I built this after a previous employer underpaid my overtime. The calculator covers federal and state-specific rules, including California's daily overtime and double time. Would love feedback from anyone who checks their pay stubs!

Hey All! 👋
I built this after my previous job consistently underpaid my overtime.
Turns out most people don't know their state's OT rules — and employers take advantage of that.
What it does:
• Enter your hourly rate and hours worked
• Pick your state (CA, AK, NV, CO, PR rules built in)
• Instantly see your gross pay with overtime
• Supports time-and-a-half AND double time
Why free? I wanted to see if simple, ad-free calculators can survive on $1 "pay what you want" instead of ads. The calculator is completely free — there's an optional $1 unlock if you want a printable pay stub report.
Built in vanilla HTML/JS, hosted on GitHub Pages. Total cost: $0.
Would love honest feedback:
• Is the state-specific overtime info clear enough?
• Do you actually check your OT pay regularly?
• What would make you pay $1 for a tool like this?
