Hey Hugh, I tested it multiple times, but for some reason, I only get clothes I am not interested in. 🙊 Then I went to talk with one the makers and became clear to me that this not AI or data driven. They can't promise what they offer. So I am taking my upvote away. Although, great video. Adorable website; I like that you don't need an account to start shopping. ✨ My only recommendation is to make the site less USA and more global. 🤔 Nowadays, India and other European countries are as present as the USA community on Producthunt. 🌐 A great question you could ask your team is, could we approach the international market, or are we better off in the USA segment? Because I understand that you used USA people for the research. Suppose you enhance the AI by letting it search for patterns in the top-selling products on Amazon, Indiegogo, and Kickstarter to identify product trends. You can go beyond brand partnerships and bank on associate accounts. Also, you would have me as a client who likes to buy innovative products before they become mainstream.

Hi @jas801, thanks for trying Outdone out! Really glad to hear you see the value in what we're trying to provide shoppers — a new way to discover and shop new brands and products. Certainly understandable that you feel our recommendations are a bit too clothing-heavy. In fact, the MVP of Outdone we launched last year (Dec 2021) only included clothing recommendations. We've since expanded our tool to include home goods, accessories, gear for sports/activities, subscription services, and much more! We're continually working to expand our recommendation categories to deliver the best gift recommendation service on the internet! One new product feature on our roadmap is to allow users to select the type of gift they're interested in purchasing... which would help you with excluding clothing from your consideration set. Hopefully we can have that pushed live for you soon!
