Builders who want to help Nepal respond to the disaster

Hello my friends and Product Hunt builders, there are a few very concrete ways you can help.

We’re putting together teams around things like disaster mapping and monitoring, AI/data analysis, aid coordination, communications, public health, recovery, and longer-term resilience tools. A lot of this work is already being done by very capable people in Nepal. The goal is to give those teams more technical capacity, better tools, and access to people who can help them move faster.

Right now, we especially need team leads who can take a real problem, organize a small group, make decisions, and get something useful shipped. We also need serious mentors — experienced engineers, product leaders, AI/data people, geospatial experts, public-health specialists, founders, and operators who can spend real time with teams and help them avoid wasting a weekend going down the wrong path.

You can also help by contributing APIs, cloud credits, datasets, design, research, product thinking, introductions, or simply a few focused hours of technical work.

This isn’t a hackathon where everyone needs to invent a new startup. The best contribution might be helping an existing Nepal-led project solve one difficult problem. Nepal Hackathon's response to the flood isn't a one time multi hour hackathon committment. We're doing technical briefs to help inspire people to build the immediate response but also long term tools for Nepal and the globe.
