Did men get the Clueless dream closet before women? Make one for females please!
Love the design, usability & looks. Seriously, pls make one for women!
Hi ProductHunt!
I’ve owned over 1000 pieces of clothing, founded+sold a menswear start-up, and spent over a decade in the industry. If there’s anyone fit to lay the foundation for a solid wardrobe, it’s me — but I still have difficulty finding high quality basics when I shop.
I wanted to solve this problem for myself, and for you guys. Mylo helps you build a carefully selected wardrobe of staple pieces and then shows you how to put them together for any occasion.
I hope you like it! You'll notice there is a line when you sign-up, but we are skipping all Product Hunters to the front, so please ignore it. You'll all be getting early access as soon as we're ready with the beta (coming soon)!
Please let us know if you think anything can be improved for the official launch.
Thanks,
Daniel
@mylo_daniel Daniel, this is mind blowing. It's an oh-how-I-wish-I-made-this app. Already sent it to my man and spreading the word amongst all other fashion motivated yet slightly clueless dudes I know. Thank you!
Hi!
In short, when we started this project, we wanted to create an effortless shopping experience that we would use ourselves. Above all, we wanted to ensure that finding everyday staples like a quality grey crew neck and a pair of classic denim wasn't a chore.
Mylo is a simple, one-touch staples shop that features 20 everyday classics. And if you're so inclined, Mylo will provide outfit recommendations on the spot.
We hope you like what you see, and can't wait to hear what you think...

@illaigescheit Thanks :) If you're asking if people can choose an activity to filter outfits by, then definitely! If you're asking about setting your style in general to be more sportswear oriented, we're working on that further along in the roadmap, but want to accommodate as many people as possible eventually.
I've used TrunkClub before but found it missed the mark for what I'm looking for. I'm not one of those guys who cares a whole lot about what I wear, but some guidance here and there would be helpful. It might not be the most profitable market since guys like me don't spend much on clothes, but there's definitely a huge market of men who need some advice on clothes but aren't so into it that they need something like TrunkClub.
Also really love that I can get value out of the app without purchasing clothing, while still having the option to purchase clothing when I want/need to.
Nice work! I joined the waiting list and am excited to try it out!
@miles_matthias Thanks Miles! The goal was definitely to give men a bit of ownership over the whole process.
The problem with Trunk Club is you buy an outfit from a stylist, then you're stuck with having to buy another and another and another - there is no education or help with putting together a cohesive wardrobe that you can manage on your own.
It is also a bit trend-reliant for my tastes, we are much more interested in helping men build a classic wardrobe so they never have to think about shopping, or getting dressed ever again!
This is an interesting take, guys! I feel as though I have the opposite problem though - I see basics *everywhere* for men, but nothing interesting. I don't need crazy statement pieces, but I do want to just put my vote out here: I hope you go beyond the basics.
Signed up and looking forward to trying it out!
@staringispolite Thanks! What kind of stuff are you looking for? Personally I like basics with just a bit of a twist, something really subtle but not so basic basic (and we do intend to include pieces like this).
Sounds like a good concept. Do Product Hunters still get to skip ahead to the front of the line? I signed up but found out there are 34K people ahead of me!
Beautiful app, Daniel! Love the great take on finding apparel and recommendations which is such a tough problem to fix. Would be awesome to see it become social!
