This has been a personal project of mine - over the months we've collected tons of data regarding what life is like around the world.

@jason_h1 amazing and so interesting. hats off
Lanre Akinyemi
This is great....so much data gathered to make this happen ๐Ÿคฉ What motivated you to make this?
Jason H
Hey @lanre__akin ! I think that learning about what your life would be like had you been born somewhere else is a really powerful concept. There's several resources on the web that offer statistics on countries around the world, but don't really offer an easy way to compare that data to your home country. My hope was to make MyLifeElsewhere bridge that gap ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Congrats, a very informative and useful tool. If you organize the countries in alphabetical order, the usability can be increased a lot.

I love this. It is really interesting to see the data. I also really like how the data is presented
Callen Hedglen
Cool project! Definitely puts things in perspective. It would be interesting to see charts of both the top 10 and bottom 10 of all of these data points.

nice! the only drawback is too many ads
Ryan Hoover
This is really interesting, @jason_h1. My only critique: So many ugly banner ads! ๐Ÿ˜…
@Bernardamus
@jason_h1 @rrhoover probably the only monetization channel? ๐Ÿ˜‰
Jason H
Thanks for your feedback @rrhoover! I can definitely work on making the ads less intrusive ๐Ÿ˜ƒ @bernardamus you're right, it's the only monetization channel! The website uses some data sources and APIs that aren't free, so the ads are there to help with those costs.

Couldnโ€™t understand the percentage calculations.. examples: SEE 91.9% LESS COASTLINE (7,200km vs 580km) MAKE 81.5% LESS MONEY ($21,100 per capita vs $3,900) CONSUME 88.6% LESS ELECTRICTY (2,578 kWh per capita vs 294 kWh)

This is amazing, you've presented a LOT of data in a really clear, concise way. It's really fun to use
