What did AI make too easy for you, and what do you wish you'd kept doing by hand?

Every shortcut removes a bit of friction, and some of that friction was doing a job. I'd like to hear which parts of your workflow you handed over and which you took back.

When a tool makes something easy, you rarely notice what the difficulty used to give you. Writing a first draft by hand forced me to decide what I actually thought. Reading user feedback line by line made me notice phrasing that a summary flattens. Writing a spec from scratch was slow, and the slowness was where I found the holes.

I'm not arguing against using AI in a workflow. I use it every week. I'm interested in the handoffs that went well and the ones that quietly cost something, because from the inside the two feel identical for a while.

My own rough test is whether I can still explain the output without the tool. If I can, I delegated the typing. If I can't, I may have delegated the understanding.

So two questions, and one line each is plenty:

What's one task you handed to AI and never looked back on?

What's one you handed over, regretted, and took back, and what did you notice when you did?

I'm especially curious about the less obvious ones: research, prioritisation, user interviews, pricing, writing the thing you're about to ship. I'll read every answer and reply to as many as I can.
