Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Kunal, the creator of Moto Market. I built Moto Market because I was incredibly frustrated with the state of the motorcycle community online. The Problem: If you're a passionate rider, you probably have thousands of dollars of premium riding gear sitting in your closet. But if you want to sell it or buy used gear, your only options are chaotic Facebook Groups (filled with scams and spam) or generic classifieds like eBay/Craigslist where nobody actually understands motorcycle gear sizing, brands, or safety ratings. Beyond that, we didn't have a beautiful, dedicated place to just log our rides and show off our bikes without battling the algorithm on Instagram. The Solution: So, I built the platform I wished existed. Moto Market is essentially "Strava meets eBay" for motorcycle enthusiasts: The Marketplace: A verified, high-trust marketplace specifically designed for premium motorcycle gear and parts. The Digital Garage & Paddock: A place to build a digital shrine for your bike, log your trips in a beautiful Journal, and share 5-second "Flyby" exhaust videos with other riders. The Journey: My approach evolved drastically while building this. Initially, I just wanted to build a safe marketplace. But after talking to dozens of riders, I realized that gear is deeply tied to our stories and our bikes. That's when I pivoted to building the "Garage" profile and "Paddock" community features first. How does Rubbyside actually keep the scammers out, is it manual moderation or some kind of verification system on listings?

 Hey Ali, great question! We take keeping the community clean very seriously. Here is how we do it:

  1. Strict Authentication: Every single user must verify their account using a WhatsApp OTP linked to a real phone number or a verified Google account. This immediately blocks the vast majority of bots and overseas scammers who rely on fake email addresses.

  2. 100% Private Communication: When you contact a seller, all initial communication happens privately through our secure in-app messaging system. Your personal phone number and email address are never exposed to the public, meaning scammers cannot scrape your data.

  3. Community Moderation: You’ll notice a 'Report' flag on every single post, garage, and listing. Our community is built by real riders who are great at flagging suspicious behavior, which goes straight to our admin team for immediate review and bans.

  4. Trusted Profiles: Because users build a "Digital Garage" with their ride history and logs, you can easily tell the difference between a real passionate rider and a blank scam profile.
