How does Rubbyside actually keep the scammers out, is it manual moderation or some kind of verification system on listings?
@aliakboae8xr Hey Ali, great question! We take keeping the community clean very seriously. Here is how we do it:
Strict Authentication: Every single user must verify their account using a WhatsApp OTP linked to a real phone number or a verified Google account. This immediately blocks the vast majority of bots and overseas scammers who rely on fake email addresses.
100% Private Communication: When you contact a seller, all initial communication happens privately through our secure in-app messaging system. Your personal phone number and email address are never exposed to the public, meaning scammers cannot scrape your data.
Community Moderation: You’ll notice a 'Report' flag on every single post, garage, and listing. Our community is built by real riders who are great at flagging suspicious behavior, which goes straight to our admin team for immediate review and bans.
Trusted Profiles: Because users build a "Digital Garage" with their ride history and logs, you can easily tell the difference between a real passionate rider and a blank scam profile.
