The construction industry - a behemoth of untapped tooling
One issue I keep noticing in the construction industry today is how long it still takes to answser simple carbon/sustainability questions.
Usually it's not because the team lacks intent. It's because the information sits across:
- multiple models.
- drawings.
- specs, PDFs, spreadsheets
Someone has to pull it all together before anything useful can be assessed.
That means a question like: "Which option is better from a carbon reduction/sustainability point of view?" can take much longer than it should. On a fast-moving project, that delay matters.
That's one of the reasons I'm building http://moonshop.ai
The aim is to help teams get to relevant project information faster and make carbon and sustainability assessment more workable in day-to-day project delivery.
The direction is simple:
- reduce time spent digging through project information
- reduce friction between different project sources
- help teams get to usable insight faster
More time spent making decisions earlier.
