MCP Platform - Turn any REST APIs into a governed MCP server

by
MCP Platform turns existing REST APIs into production-ready MCP servers from an OpenAPI specification. Generate tools automatically, classify operations by risk, add authentication and governance, publish a remote MCP endpoint, and connect it to clients like ChatGPT or Claude — without building MCP infrastructure from scratch.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built MCP Platform after seeing how much repetitive work is still required to make an existing API usable by AI agents. Most companies already have REST APIs and OpenAPI specifications, but making those APIs available through MCP means building tool definitions, handling authentication, thinking about destructive operations, deploying MCP infrastructure, and maintaining it afterward. MCP Platform is designed to make that much simpler. You can: • Import an OpenAPI specification • Automatically generate MCP tools • Classify operations by risk • Configure authentication and policies • Publish a remote MCP endpoint • Connect it to clients such as ChatGPT or Claude There’s also a public marketplace, so you can publish a server and let others connect to it in one click. I’ve also included a public Demo Store API, so you can try the complete flow without setting up your own backend or credentials. One thing I’m especially interested in getting feedback on is the governance side — how developers and platform teams would want approvals, authentication, auditability, and risk controls to work as MCP adoption grows. Would love to hear what you think, especially if you're currently building MCP servers or exposing APIs to AI agents.

This is really exciting! 🚀 Turning existing REST APIs/OpenAPI specs into secure and governed MCP servers could make it much easier for developers to bring their APIs into the AI ecosystem. Love the focus on connecting with tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI agents. Looking forward to seeing how MCP Platform evolves! 👏
