Maestrly v0.22.0: parallel bot conversations, bot-to-bot threads, and cloud dictation

Maestrly v0.22.0 lets bots handle multiple conversations at once, gives bot-to-bot exchanges their own threads, and adds OpenAI and Groq dictation across desktop and mobile.

  • Parallel bot conversations: A bot's main conversation always answers right away while up to four side conversations (scheduled routine runs and threads with other bots) run alongside it, each with its own temporary desktop when it uses the computer.

  • Dedicated bot-to-bot threads: Conversations between two bots now live in their own threads under a new Bots tab instead of landing in your main chat, pause after a set number of turns without you, and can send a summary card back to your conversation.

  • OpenAI and Groq dictation on desktop and mobile: Beyond local Whisper on your computer, you can now dictate through OpenAI (gpt-4o-transcribe) or Groq (whisper-large-v3-turbo) for better mixed-language technical speech, and share the server setup with the mobile app.

  • Subscription usage on mobile: The mobile app now shows plan usage and reset times for connected Claude, ChatGPT, and Google AI subscriptions on your paired server.

  • Windows PowerShell and live tool detection: Agent commands on Windows now run in Windows PowerShell 5.1 instead of cmd.exe, and installing Git or Claude Code while Maestrly is open is picked up without restarting the app.

If you run a bot server, back up your gateway volume before updating to v0.22.0 (the gateway database moves to schema 20).

Maestrly v0.21.0–v0.21.1: Bots that keep working while your computer is off

This release is mostly about bots: they can now live and work entirely on your server, and routines get a proper home of their own.

  • Bots work on the server. A bot can work in the projects of a workspaces environment on its own server, not only on your paired computers, so it keeps going while every computer is off.

  • Move a bot. Send a bot to another environment, or a new one, with its conversation, memory, files, routines and browser profile. Choose Move to in its settings or drag it in the sidebar.

  • Routine runs in their own conversation. A Runs tab lists them by day. Open a run to read everything it did, ask for changes, stop it or keep it.

  • More from the mobile app. Create bots, paste images, pick the branch for a new workspace chat, and dictate in the language you chose in Settings.

  • Whole folders in Files. Upload and download folders in the Files tab of a conversation on a server.

  • Fewer tokens. Claude, Cursor and GitHub Copilot sessions now resume across turns instead of resending the whole transcript every time.

If you run your own bot server, back up the gateway volume before updating.

What's new in Maestrly since launch (now at v0.20)

Hey everyone! Maestrly changed a lot since the July launch, so here is a quick recap. From now on I'll post here whenever a new version ships.

The big picture

  • Maestrly is now fully open source under the MIT license. Free, no account, no telemetry.

  • One conversation, every model: Claude, ChatGPT/Codex, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Google AI (Antigravity) and Grok, plus API keys. Switch models mid-conversation without losing context, with automatic account rotation when one hits its limit.

Maestrly - The open-source AI workspace where your models work together

Free, open-source (MIT) AI workspace for macOS, Windows and Linux. Use the Claude, ChatGPT/Codex, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Google AI and Grok accounts you already pay for in one conversation, and switch models without losing context. Maestro runs a team of agents, with code reviews, worktrees, terminal and browser built in. Optional self-hosted bots get their own Linux desktop and keep working while your laptop is closed, and you follow them from the iOS and Android app.
