Hey there, the amazing PH community! 👋 I'm launching Lunatask, an all-in-one privacy-focused task manager, habit and mood tracker, and pomodoro timer 🙇‍♂️ Two years ago I finally decided to go on a journey to build a perfect ADHD-friendly personal productivity app for myself. The previous app I used for years felt often overwhelming and without proper tools for prioritization when there was a lot on my plate. In my task list for Today, my personal and work tasks were mixed causing distractions at work. And it did just one thing, requiring me to have another complementary app for stuff like a pomodoro timer or tracking habits. Last year, I finally launched the beta of Lunatask so everyone can play with it and now it's time to share it with all of you 🙌 There are new features landing in Lunatask every month, check our public roadmap or follow Lunatask on Twitter. Everyone is different so there are never enough personal productivity tools. Tell me, what do you like, what do you miss, what can I improve? Any feedback highly appreciated 🙏 Also, a big thank you to all the beta testers who provided their valuable feedback so far 🥳

@kuldeep_bhatt1 Thanks, Kuldeep! I was surprised by the number of people requesting Linux support, in a good way. Please, vote for the feature on our Idea Voting Portal and I'll get in touch when there's a Linux build available for testing 🙌
Martin Stava
This is awesome, can’t wait for the iPad version of this ;)
Michal Krejčí
@martin_stava Wink wink, if people like it, there will be iOS/Android apps eventually. I want to focus on figuring out and perfecting the experience on the desktop first before bringing it to mobile, there's so much left to do, so not soon but soon-ish 😜
Dominik Plšek
I've been using Lunatask for a while and what always strikes me is how quickly it evolves. Every month, there are new features to play with. I asked for weekly habits three weeks ago and here they are in this weeks update 🙌
Michal Krejčí
@dominikplsek Thanks Dominik, I'm glad you like it! 🙌
Lucie Zajíčková
It seems I finally found a product I was looking for, Michal! 😍 Will use it and spread the word about it too. 🙏
Michal Krejčí
@lucie_zajickova Thanks, Lucie, I appreciate your kind words! 😍 Lunatask is still in Beta, there're things which could be improved but I'm working on them. If you find it is not there yet for you, be sure to come back and check it out in a month or two, I push updates out every couple of weeks 💫
Rahul Das
love the design, feels so fresh and new :)
Michal Krejčí
@rdas12121 Thank you, Rahul, I'm glad you say that, especially when it comes from a designer it means a lot! 🙌
Laur Science
Awesome to see an all-in-one tool in this area, I know many people (including myself) are getting fatigued by the number of tools and apps they use and would love to consolidate in one tool. One question, are notes coming as well in the future?
Michal Krejčí
@laur_science Yes, I think that's one of the next steps. Lunatask already has a powerful custom-built Markdown editor for task notes. There are two common themes I hear about - a journal or diary (timeline of notes attached to dates, possibly connected with habit/mood tracker) and notebooks (more traditional collections of notes). I think there's a space for supporting both use cases. Definitely, something to be explored soon!
Süheyla Şeker
Hey that is cool. I will use it with my team. It has too many options comparing to other tools. Congrats!
Michal Krejčí
@suheyla_seker Hi Süheyla, I'm glad you like it! My goal is to build one tool which can satisfy all the personal productivity needs for some, not all, because everyone is different of course. I'm using myself as a target persona, so let's see if there are more people like me. Let me know for sure what you like or dislike, I iterate a lot and honest feedback is what it needs to the most at this point 🙌
Veronika Gabrielová
I'm using Lunatask for a couple of months already and its ability to take in a bunch of stuff, assign a couple of properties and clearly see what I should work on is like a superpower. I'd not go back to a list where I need to drag tasks around all the time. I can recommend! 🏄🏻‍♀️ 🤩
Michal Krejčí
@veronika_gabrielova Haha, I'm glad to hear that, Veronika! That was originally the main feature I designed the task list around, no drag'n'drop. Although it may be counter-intuitive, it actually makes me sane ☺️
Shashank Tandon
Love the interface and using Lunatask. I am already able to prioritise what I need to do in a better way! Definitely can recommend! 👏🏽 Great job Michal! ⭐️
Michal Krejčí
@shashank_tandon1 Thank you, Shashank! 🙇‍♂️ Prioritization is the key, personally I'm using Must/Should/Want method to organize my personal tasks and Kanban grouping for work-related tasks. What grouping works for you the best? ⭐️
Shashank Tandon
@mikekreeki I love using the Kanban grouping for my work related tasks, it makes me less panicked while doing my job more efficiently!
Michal Krejčí
@shashank_tandon1 That's awesome to hear! Kanban grouping is great, it pushes you to finish older tasks first and checks you don't have too much started but yet unfinished work. Feel free to ping me if you have any ideas on how to make it even better 💫
Shashank Tandon
@mikekreeki I will definitely reach out. I also appreciate you sharing your public roadmap for everyone to see whats coming next and share their feedback right there. I will be voting in your public roadmap as well! 🚀
Maurice Kleine
The #1 todo app you didn't know you needed! Awesome work @mikekreeki! 🚀
Michal Krejčí
@mauricekleine Thank you very much, Maurice! 🙌
Tomas Ruzicka
I've known Mike for years now and our mutual task management obsession grows big. And I am sure if he's decided to do something about it it will be worth it. For anybody who's desperately looking for that perfect tool for themselves this is a must try.
Michal Krejčí
@lezuse Thanks, Tomáš, means a lot! 🙇‍♂️ You're right, I tried every app on the market over the years, literally hundreds of apps, and although yes, it's true that it's not about the tool, you can be productive with any of them and the differences are not that big, people are still passionate about the topic. I see it in Twitter discussions daily and there's always space and market for one more, that's why there are so many in the first place. It's okay to be always on the lookout for one that would fit you better ⭐️
Glen Creaser
I love the privacy focus. Is there a free version?
Michal Krejčí
@glen_creaser Thank you! Lunatask is in Beta and free to use for anyone on Mac or Windows 🙌
Winston
Looks very cool! Would love a way to instantaneously launch La Terasa focus music when I begin a 60-90 minute high-intensity work block.
Michal Krejčí
@winston_christie_blick Haha, oh my, that would be a killer feature. You should not have said that, Winston. Now, I'm actually thinking about doing it, seriously! 😆
Ivan Homola
Awesome tool. I love your design and the mix of features. I will definitely give it a try.
Michal Krejčí
@ichangetheway Thank you, Ivan. I hope you'll like it, if not, please, reach out, I'd love to hear your feedback 🙌
Ivanna Wendel
Cool product! Congrats with the launch!
Michal Krejčí
@ivanna_wendel Thank you, Ivanna, I'm glad you like it! 🙌
Michal Těhník
Lunatasks are really all-in-one for people who are approaching life as a complex thing. Life isn't just about dealing with TODOs; it's also about tracking if we're doing what we want and if we feel good about it. That's what Lunatask is providing; a holistic approach.
Michal Krejčí
@mictech Your summary is on point, good choice of words! Thank you, Michal! 👏
Ian
First impression is quite good, but I feel I need more time to properly understand it (although I'm probably overcomplicating it!). I think a screencast video demonstrating creating and organising tasks would help a lot. I'm sure Francesco D'Alessio would be interested in reviewing this app.
Michal Krejčí
@ianmayman I already thought of that actually! In my experience, people don't read onboarding messages and want to get into the product as fast as possible. One cannot explain everything in such messages as more of them means fewer people will read them. I know because I'm guilty of that as well. So my thinking is to create a YouTube channel, document all the features there and link it in the app and/or embed them on the website. Thanks for raising this, I think you're totally right! 👌
Cindy Berman
Excited to try this! Love the built in pomodoro timer. This is a game changer!
Michal Krejčí
@cindy_berman A little sneak peek here, there will be improvements to pomodoro timer in the next update. Lunatask will automatically track statistics on completed pomodoros in the habit tracker. But if anyone asks, you did not hear it from me 😎
Maddie Lee
VERY cool! I've been tracking my habits and moods on paper for years (?!) now and it has been a gamechanger for me. Very bold and forward-thinking of you to incorporate both in a productivity tool that can be used for work. Our lives are almost seamless now. It makes so much sense to have one productivity tool for both work and your personal life, and it makes sense to track our moods and feelings when at work (something that was traditionally taboo!). Looks like it has been very well designed and I love the idea voting portal!
Michal Krejčí
@shesmaddie That's awesome! I'm glad to hear you like the all-in-one approach 🙌
Tom Grigory
Awesome and superb todo list.
Michal Krejčí
@tom_grigory Thank you for your kind words! 🥳
