LOLU goes beyond personal reminders, making reminders collaborative. Users can create tasks or events, invite participants, and automatically send synchronized reminders via Alarms, SMS and WhatsApp. Unlike traditional reminder apps, LOLU helps users promote events directly to people they know through peer-to-peer sharing, creating more relevant engagement and targeting than broad social media posts. The Android MVP is currently available in the UK and Nigeria with Alarm and SMS reminders.

Hello Community!

I'm Taiwo, I built because I noticed something interesting: most people don't forget because they lack calendars or reminder apps, they forget because life gets busy, messages get buried, and reminding other people is hard work.

I've organized events, managed teams, and coordinated community activities, and I found myself repeatedly sending follow-up messages: "Don't forget," "Just a reminder," "See you tomorrow." It felt inefficient.

What fascinated me even more was that the people we really want to reach are often already in our contacts. Friends, family, colleagues, community members. Yet we rely on social media algorithms to reach broad audiences when sometimes the right audience is already known.

So we built LOLU to make reminders collaborative.

  • Create an event or task on the LOLU mobile app,

  • Invite/Add your targeted people through their mobile numbers,

  • Give them an access to invite/add others to your event or task,

  • Let AI help craft the message, and let LOLU play its custom alarm,

  • LOLU then delivers the reminder messages through WhatsApp,

  • Keep everyone synchronized automatically.
