Libra - A global cryptocurrency by Facebook

I'm not qualified to comment on most of this, I just have 2 things. I echo those who would be concerned about trust considering Facebook's notoriety. I too have restricted use on that platform. But that video. I found it strange, and if I had time I am pretty sure I could turn it into a trailer for a fake "the next Jordan Peele horror film" with some audio overdubs and very basic editing...

For once I read comments on a news story that give me more faith in humanity, not less. It saddens me that those who still trust FB are the ones who will happily open up their bank accounts and trust that FB won’t be monitoring and profiting from every transaction. HE to the double L NO.

There are real reasons to be skeptical about FB and Libra...but like it or not FB is rather going to keep evolving by understanding the user's needs and finding a balance to increase it's growth rate and adoption. Regardless of the issues of breach of trust and privacy in 2018 which caused FB a 11% to 9% decline in growth rate, in 2019 it is gone up to almost 13%. FB is delivering and that's what the majority are seeing. The power of the majority is what is going to keep FB growing and will also cause massive Libra adoption. With 2.7 billion active daily users...Libra is the beginning of the end of banks worldwide. Banking and financial transactions will become as easy as chatting cause FB has the potential to accomplish it. Also, I am beginning to see a trend in a majority who care not so much about privacy but more about solutions and been able to deliver.

Are there any ways to downvote on this? Lol. Personally don't support Libra, the previous history and breach of data episodes have limited my trust in Libra.

- It s not real crypto - due to how was first crypto defined - it s not using real blockchain

Stop this dirty technology for once and all. We gave them our information for free and they became rich by selling it , now they wants to move much further,make curency.. NO WAY. BIG THUMBS DOWN.

True, it would accelerate cryptocurrencies ofcourse its facebook but the whole point about crypto has been shamed down by Mark .

Wish i could see the reaction of mark zuckerber to write me here hehehehh! to confront him, by the way the logo was stollen just like facebook was
