Hello, world_ 👋🏻 Meet Layer! Our team has worked SUPER hard to get the product to launch. 🧠 Why We Built Layer In a world filled with productivity tools like Notion, Trello, Asana, and XMind, we felt something was missing—a tool that not only organizes tasks but does so visually and intuitively, aligning with our natural thought processes. We wanted to create a platform where you can: 💚Quickly Create Visual Roadmaps → Build visual tree structures of your projects and goals in just a few clicks, helping you see the big picture at a glance. 💚Split Up Large Projects → Use focus mode to divide large projects into manageable steps, so you know exactly what to tackle each day. ✅ Key Features ✔️ Visual Mind Map Trees: Organize your tasks intuitively with mind map trees that make planning more natural and engaging. ✔️ Brain-Inspired Visual Connections: Save time and enhance understanding with visuals that reflect how your brain connects ideas. ✔️ Stay Goal-Focused: Keep your objectives front and center through clear visualization, helping you focus on what truly matters. ✔️ Focus Mode: Tackle big projects by honing in on individual branches without losing sight of the overall plan. ✔️ Easy Delegation: Simplify teamwork by sharing branches with your team, making collaboration effortless. 💡 Our Planned Innovations AI-Powered Planning Gamification Elements Web3 Tokenomics Mobile App What's Next? We're thrilled to share Layer with the Product Hunt community first. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we're eager to hear your thoughts to make Layer even better. 🎁 Join Us on This Journey Be among the first to experience Layer! Gabe Moronta
@vit_aver congrats on this launch, exciting times ahead!
Jan
@vit_aver This is a great solution with potential! The approach to productivity you've created resonates with me as someone who is a big on visuals. Congratulations on launching Layer!

@vit_aver Congrats on the launch! I am a "second brain" believer. Quick question: the tasks in our head are certainly not in a tree structure, more like a graph. Do we lose key information that matters when map to a tree?
Anton Sutarmin
👏 Very nice, congrats on the launch! Where’s my data stored? Hope it’s not in some random server basement 😄
Nastya Novichikhina
@antonsutarmin Nah, no shady basements here. Your data’s chillin’ in secure, top-tier cloud servers that meet all the fancy international security standards
Vitaly Aver
@antonsutarmin By geo in the US in a very famous dada-center. But the Layer also allows you to export everything to your PC. Did you manage to use the keyboard to create block tasks like a cannonball?

@vit_aver Hi Vitaly and the Layer team, congratulations for your launch! Layer seems super useful to project managers and team leaders. Curious to know, is it possible to create notes on the board not only for blocks, but also for the board as a whole? Thanks!
Nastya Novichikhina
@vit_aver @elaineluyi Yes, Layer allows you to add notes or comments at the board level, providing context or instructions for the entire project 🙌
Vitaly Aver
@elaineluyi 👋 Hi and thanks! I wrote down this idea, there really is no such functionality now! But this really needs to be implemented!

i prefer tasks as cards and not a blockchain. and why should i use this instead of miro, give me 7 reasons
Vitaly Aver
@maxcompe 1. Layer is faster - in Miro you draw, in Layer you type! 2. In Miro you need then transfer it to tasks, in Layer blocks are already tasks! 3. We will also have Kanban view in the next updates (in Miro it will never be - you have to draw it yourself)! 4. If you are a successful manager, then in the future you will expand your team and Miro will become an expensive solution! 5. In Layer, the map structure makes you move towards the goal, and in Miro you draw as you want, and lose focus! 6. Layer will work on the W3 system and motivate you with real rewards for teamwork, in Miro this will never happen! 7. ❤️❤️❤️ Miro is a billion-dollar company where you will never talk to the founder and he will hear you and make the features you want. And I can not only listen, but also treat you to a beer if you help find a bug or suggest a feature.

@maxcompe My team and I have unanimously decided that you are the absolute winner in the “Question of the Day” category because you asked the most interesting question that made us think deeply. Thanks to your question, we even found some valuable answers for ourselves! 🏆 Reach out to our team and share your email—we’ll activate a 1-year PRO subscription for you!

@vit_aver haha thanks, tried to sent but says the email provider rejected it. please hmu in my socials in my ph profile. thx and nice idea.
Vitaly Aver
@maxcompe I wrote to the mail 🤝
Kate Ramakaieva
Big congrats, team! Will there be templates for different tasks, like in Notion? 📋
Vitaly Aver
@kate_ramakaieva Thanks for your support! Yes, Layer offers a variety of templates to help you get started with different types of projects and tasks.
Nika
IMO, this can get attention of many people (also thanks to pricing availability, as well as familiar UI to FigJam – I think that UI is pretty clear) :) Support this idea!
Vitaly Aver
@busmark_w_nika It's very unusual, I have to write so many answers at once that my 🧠brain explodes! I reread my answers and think, who is this person! ❤️Thanks for the support! Yes, Figma Jam is our target prototype, only we will strongly develop visual design with an exit to task statuses. And our goal is to create the most "lazy" system. In which it does everything itself and you only choose options! And we need ambassadors and advisers - let's be friends)
Nika
@vit_aver Can you connect with me on LI? :) https://www.linkedin.com/in/nika...
Micha Cassola
Very good idea and also very nice execution of it! Love the concept and look. 🤩💪
Vitaly Aver
@michacassola thank you! happy planning 🥳🦸‍♂️
Mario K.
Cheers to the team on this big day! 🚀 Can I share my map with other people? Like my team or friends?
Nastya Novichikhina
@mario_k_ Oh yeah, sharing’s a breeze. You can invite your squad to edit or just peek at it, depending on what you need. Wanna share with the whole world? You can do that, too. It’s all about making teamwork effortless—and fun, tbh
Vitaly Aver
@mario_k_ L - allows you to do even more - share a piece of your map with your team and make sure they don't see the rest. This way you have control over the big picture and your colleagues have control over the pieces. If you have any questions, write to me personally! Your support is greatly appreciated.
Alexander Farr
Congrats on your launch! I love your tagline of being inspired by how the brain works. I am curious - what are the main ways you have incorporated that next to the mind-map like branching of points?
Vitaly Aver
@alexanderfarr In general, the idea of the organization arose at the moment when I was managing the launch of three IT products. And my brain was literally boiling. We are planning to implement many tools for visually balancing the map with their release into tasks. You can now try clicking on the 3rd icon at the top left - inside the board with blocks. If you have blocks with the status "today" then the layer will delete everything and put only them on the boards. Perhaps I answered very confusingly? )))))
Anton Tushmintsev
Congratulations on the launch, very interesting concept!
Vitaly Aver
@anton_tushmintsev If there are problems with the product or questions, write to me personally. I may not answer quickly, but I will definitely answer!! Thank you for your attention 🤝
Vitaly Aver
@anton_tushmintsev Thank you for your support, it's a pleasure!
