No middlemen. No fees.
Just a customizable embed to enable direct blockchain transactions, with optional messages, no matter where you or your supporters are located.
Hey Product Hunt community!
I'm excited to share an update to KudoBox – our minimalist crypto donation solution for digital creators.
Since our initial launch, we've been listening to your feedback and working hard to make KudoBox even more versatile. The result?
KudoBox now supports both ETH and USDC stablecoin, giving you and your supporters more flexibility in transactions.
For those new to KudoBox, it allows you to accept crypto payments and donations seamlessly.
No middlemen, and no fees – just a customizable embed that facilitates direct blockchain transactions right on your website.
What’s new:
- Multi-Currency Support: Accept donations in both ETH and USDC, catering to different preferences.
- Enhanced User Experience: A refined interface makes it even easier for supporters to choose their preferred currency.
- Dashboard Feature: Users now have access to a dashboard interface to check donations and view messages sent to their addresses.
Your feedback drives our improvements, so please don't hesitate to share your experience or suggestions.
I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on this update
I found this amazing tool through a friend's recommendation and I'm blown away by how useful it is for digital artists like me. The fact that there are no fees or middlemen is a game-changer, and the founder did a great job. I was just wondering if there could be even more customisation options in the future.
I found this randomly while browsing, the idea is kinda interesting but I'm skeptical, without any fees, how is this going to sustain itself long-term, it feels like there might be hidden catches, also as a dev myself, the backend tech stack seems solid but I'd like to see more transparency on security measures, just my two cents
Hey @devleadphpython ,
very good question, thank you.
In its current form, Kudobox will always be free to use, meaning that there will be no fees, of course except for network fees, which are beyond our control.
The product minimalist approach also ensures that running costs are kept low enough to be virtually negligible.
Also, it's important to note that the Kudobox landing page utilizes Kudobox itself to accept donations. These funds will be used to iterate and improve the product further.
KudoBox is a brilliant tool, @mnlcpc! The no-fee, direct blockchain transactions are exactly what creators need. The user experience improvements are noticeable. How do you see KudoBox evolving to support larger transactions or even recurring donations in the future? Excited to see where this goes!
Stumbled across this amazing tool on a friend's suggestion and I'm blown away, it's super helpful for digital creators like myself, no fees and no middlemen is a game-changer, great job by the founder, just wondering if there could be even more customization options in the future 🤔
I get the whole crypto trend and the no fees thing sounds appealing but is cutting out middlemen really gonna fly with most users, how do you handle security and trust issues, also the customizable bit is cool but what about user experience for people who aren't crypto-savvy
Hey @urbanecolead , all good points, thank you
And you're right, in its current form, Kudobox is geared towards users who are relatively crypto-savvy. However, this is just a starting point. Ideally, we would like to make the entire crypto/blockchain/web3 part of it as transparent as possible, keeping and leveraging its advantages while eliminating the technical complexities and implementation details.
KudoBox is evolving beautifully! 🚀 Supporting both ETH and USDC is a fantastic addition, giving digital creators and their supporters even more flexibility. The no-fee, no-middlemen approach with a customizable embed sounds like a dream for seamless transactions. The new dashboard feature for checking donations and messages is a game-changer for transparency and interaction.
Congrats on the update! 🎉 Can you share any plans for future enhancements or additional features you’re considering for KudoBox? @mnlcpc
Hey Manuele,
I'm curious, do you have plans to expand beyond ETH and USDC to other popular cryptocurrencies?
How are you handling transaction fees for creators, especially for smaller donation amounts?
Congrats on the launch!
Hey @kyrylosilin, thank you
Yes sure. We're planning to add support for more tokens and networks based on user preferences.
This will also help address transaction fees, as we'll integrate with more cost-efficient networks.
Any specific tokens or networks you'd like to use with Kudobox?
Overall, I like the idea, but as @kyrylosilin already ask I’m also curious about how you plan to handle transaction fees for creators?Particularly with smaller donation amounts.
@egor_wynn
Hey Egor,
Thank you
We're going to add support for alternative networks and tokens that basically almost take fees down to ~0 . Which ones will depend on users' feedback.
Hey Manuele! Congrats on this relaunch. KudoBox has a huge potential and I feel it will a game changer for digital creators through crypto. Happy to see you addressing this and wish you all the bes. Cheers!
I’m interested in how this works for accepting crypto payments directly. How does it handle security and ensure smooth transactions without any issues?
