Karmagenes - DNA-based test to help you understand yourself better

@kyrikokkoris give us some examples of how karmagenes has been used! what can i expect to find out about myself by analyzing my DNA? what did you find out about yourself? are you matchmaking couples based on DNA similarities? :P

Hi @eriktorenberg You can understand better your potential harboured in your DNA through Karmagenes genetic test. For example my DNA says that I am quite spontaneous but till now I have not been so spontaneous in my life. So from now on, I will try to do more spontaneous acts since my DNA supports it :) My partner also did the test and we love the fact that we have some complementary DNA based behavioural characteristics. In addition, we welcomed our baby son and now we are curious to see which DNA parts were inherited from me or his mother! Single friends of mine also they would be interested to meet people with similar and/or complementary characteristics. These are some of the benefits of doing the Karmagenes test! Cheers

@lucascerdan @eriktorenberg Thank you for your comments and giving me the opportunity to explain a little bit more about Karmagenes. I can understand that you do not like our project but if you have a better inside in our team we are 4 people with PhDs in genetics, microbiology and microarray development from accredited Universities. Our conclusions of linking DNA with behavioural characteristics are all based in scientific papers published in highly peer-reviewed journals. I obviously cannot list the specific genetic regions including specific SNPs (Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms) that we test because this is our unique selling point. However if you visit the electronic library for science PubMed http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubm... you can find twenty nine nine hundred three 29.903 scientific papers related to behavioural genetics. I do not think that all these articles try to trick people. And our expertise allows us to extract the appropriate genetic information to link DNA with specific behavioural characteristics. Presenting something in an enjoyable way, as we do, does not mean that we loose credibility or that we are not very serious about what we do. @BelleBCooper Hello Belle, Thanks for asking. 23andMe https://www.23andme.com was doing genetic testing dealing mostly with health/illness related issues and they were also doing health interpretation. They no longer offer this test since FDA disapproved it. Currently they are following up with FDA guidelines http://www.sfgate.com/technology.... For the time being, they promote their genetic testing related to ancestry/heritage traits and they can also provide to their customers only raw genetic data. There are also other genetic test providers like Ancestry http://dna.ancestry.com that clearly do genetic testing regarding ancestry/heritage traits. In addition, there are sites like Instant Chemistry http://instantchemistry.com/huma... and Gene Partner http://www.genepartner.com/index... that match people through DNA but their technology is quite different than Karmagenes. They do that through testing Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA), body odors and DNA. Regarding Karmagenes, we provide genetic testing that links DNA with behavioural characteristics. Karmagenes is the first genetic test, to my knowledge, doing that. We do not do any health interpretation, we do not do any immune system and body odors compatibility. We just link specific DNA regions with specific behavioural characteristics by extracting DNA from saliva sample. And importantly, all genetic analysis is ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 17025:2005 certified and the Swiss data privacy legislation applies to the testing . Finally, an additional Karmagenes feature is that we try to promote our product in an enjoyable and comprehensive way to everyone since our cause as scientists is to bring the DNA world closer to the people.
