Solo on growth, small team, and I'm stuck on one design decision. Would love a gut check.
Hey PH.
Quick honest intro: I'm the only person on growth at a small team. Some weeks that means I'm the marketer, the writer, the closer, and the ops person before lunch, and none of them get my best.
That frustration turned into what I'm building (MyInc, an AI team that runs the busywork in the background). But I'm not here to pitch it. I'm here because I'm genuinely torn on one call and you're exactly the people who'd know.
I built it so every action, anything that goes public or spends money, waits for the founder's "yes." It felt obviously right to me. But early users are split: half love the control, half say "just let it run, that's the whole point of hiring a team."
So, if an AI teammate was doing real work for your business, would you want it to wait for your approval every time, or run on its own and just tell you after? And does your answer change for marketing vs money?
I'll go first: I'd want approval on anything that spends or goes public, but full autonomy on drafts and research. Curious where you land.
(P.S. if you want to actually poke at it while you answer, PH folks get 2 weeks free, no card, code [MYINC-PHFORUM]. But honestly I mostly want the gut check.)

This is exactly the part we keep going back and forth on.
The framing that keeps making sense to me is reversibility. Drafts and research are easy to undo, so giving them more autonomy feels safer. Spend and public posts are different because once they happen, you can’t really un-send them.
I’m still torn on whether the approval gate should fade as trust builds, or stay as a permanent guardrail.
