Posting this mainly to learn, not to sell.

I'm a 19-year-old engineering student building a hyperlocal home-services marketplace (haircuts, cleaning, repairs, event/birthday decoration) for college towns in India — places big platforms like Urban Company don't really serve. I've got a working prototype and a rough business plan (commission-based, starting with one service category in one town, WhatsApp-first before the app). What I don't have yet is experience — I've never run a business or raised money. If you've built a marketplace startup in India, work in early-stage VC, or have just seen a hundred pitches like this one and know what actually matters at this stage — I'd genuinely value 15 minutes of your time or even a blunt comment on what I'm missing. Not asking for investment. Asking for a reality check. #earlystage #startupindia #learningbuilding here the website:

Not from India or VC either, but the WhatsApp first before the app call is the right instinct from what I have seen building MVPs for people validating a marketplace idea. The app is the expensive artifact. WhatsApp already exists on every phone you are trying to reach, and it needs a person answering, not code. The real test of your prototype right now is not the tech stack, it is whether one specific commission based transaction can happen start to finish today with a human doing the parts you have not built yet. If that already works manually with real money changing hands, you have more validation than most people who show up here with an app.
