My first consumer startup died. Now I am building again differently.

Hi PH brothers & sisters,

I'm Venkat! In 2015, I co-founded my first startup. We launched before we were ready, tried to reach everyone instead of a specific audience, and our co-founder relationship broke down. The startup didn’t survive.

Since then, I’ve spent years building at AWS and Snap. Now I’m building again.

Now I am building Reqly: agents on the Map. Ask a question about a place straight from Apple Maps, Google Maps or Yelp. Our agent calls the business to book a restaurant, check pricing or arrange a dental appointment, then replies right back in the chat in ~ 2 mins.

We’ve been testing in beta in local neighborhoods and learning from actual requests. I also wanted to introduce myself here and get to know other builders before launch day.

This time, I’m proving it works, one real task at a time. And I’d love to try one for you.
