I've been on Product Hunt since 2016. Now I'm sharing my own Mac app.

Hi everyone, I'm Kyle Reddoch. I'm an independent developer in Texas, and I work in cybersecurity and managed IT.

I've been on Product Hunt since 2016, but I haven't properly introduced the person behind what I'm building.

My current project is Trayage, a native Mac app for reviewing Downloads clutter. It brings old installers, likely duplicates, and old or large files into a review so you can decide what to keep. Trayage has just launched here on Product Hunt.

Working on an app that can move someone's files to Trash makes the details matter: why a file was suggested, what the app knows, and what the user still needs to decide. Those are the kinds of product decisions I enjoy working through.

I'd like to meet other people building practical Mac apps and small utilities. I'm also happy to contribute a cybersecurity and IT-support perspective when you're thinking through permissions, privacy explanations, or the places users might get confused.

What are you building, and what's one decision in your app where earning the user's trust has been difficult?

Here's Trayage if you're curious:
