I did the things I was supposed to do. Now I’m doing things what I WANT to do.

👋Product Hunters, I’m Ahmed.

I spent a decade in sales and product, including time at Google, multiple startups and scaleups across the world., with a successful exit in 2023. Career-wise, I’ve ticked most of the boxes I once set for myself. Now I’m in a more interesting phase: working on the things I genuinely want to exist.

One lesson came the hard way. Yes, you can build alone. I did plenty of that during Covid and eventually found myself practically scratching the walls from loneliness :)).

Remote work is great, but I still believe the best companies are built by people who spend real time together. Sitting across a table, challenging each other and solving problems there and then. Not every important thought belongs in a GitHub issue waiting in a queue.

That belief also shapes how I think about AI.

After years of working at C-level, I learned that good leaders steer without taking over. They govern without ruling. People do their best work when the outcome and boundaries are clear, but they still have room to think.

I believe agents will work the same way.

I’m now building around that idea: give agents room to reason while keeping human intent, boundaries, ownership and evidence attached to the work.

I don’t see the future as human replacement. I see it as human “up-placement.” Yes, I’m making that a word :)

Humans set direction, govern the boundaries and remain responsible for the outcome. Agents take on more of the work required to get there.

I’m here to meet thoughtful builders, compare hard-earned lessons and help where I can.

Ciao,
