Hi Product Hunters - fintech product designer building a productivity apps on the side

Hey everyone 👋,

I’m Ilya, a product designer working in fintech.

Most of my professional work happens inside established products, teams, systems, and constraints. Outside of work, I wanted to try something different: build a small product where I would be responsible for the entire journey.

Not only the interface, but also the idea, product decisions, onboarding, monetization, launch, analytics, and the uncomfortable trade-offs that come with shipping something of your own.

That experiment became Grindoro, an iOS focus app built around a simple idea: focusing can feel easier when it feels like you’re joining other people, rather than staring at another private timer alone.

It combines shared focus sessions, solo timers, tasks, progression, and a collection of weekly cafés.

I launched it on Product Hunt today, and it’s currently sitting at #10🎉.

No grand mission to reinvent productivity. I’m mostly building, learning, testing my assumptions, and discovering how different it feels to own the whole product instead of only one part of it.

I’d love to connect with other product designers, indie makers, and people building something alongside a full-time job.
