Hi guys, I'm a person who just made a software.
I've been building a lightweight CPU monitor for macOS called rNitro — real-time CPU usage, temperature, clock speed, and per-core breakdown, plus a menu bar mode so you can keep an eye on things without a full window open.
A few things it does:
Live thermal state display (driven by macOS's actual thermal signal, not a guessed number)
Per-core CPU breakdown
In-game overlay HUD (like MSI Afterburner's OSD) — shows CPU%, GPU%, temp, and RAM on top of fullscreen games, click-through, doesn't steal input
One-command install via a self-verifying shell script, or a signed DMG if you'd rather just drag it into Applications
It's free, Apple Silicon native, and I'm actively iterating on it based on feedback. Would love for people to try it and tell me what's missing or broken.
