Hey Product Hunt — I’m Joe, and I built Good Company.</p>
Good Company It started as a simple two-player word game, but the first version had a problem: it looked better than it played.
So instead of pretending it was finished, I rebuilt it around a harder question:
What actually makes the next move matter?
Good Company is a browser game where each new word has to start with the last letter of the previous one. Get stuck, you lose.
This new version includes 3 mechanics I’m testing right now:
Escalation — after the warmup, each word must be at least as long as the last
Lanes — each round gets a theme prompt
Scoring — every word earns points based on length
You can jump in instantly, play against Sam the Sloth, and tell me which version feels the most tense, fun, and replayable.
The most helpful feedback for me right now is:
- Which mechanic feels strongest?
- Which one drags?
- Which one made you want a rematch?
I’m not trying to oversell it. I’m trying to make it real.
Thanks for checking it out.
