Hey PH! I'm Chandan, a student founder building Mindfries. Here's what we're working on.
Hey everyone!
I'm Chandan, a computer science student and one of the people behind Mindfries.
I've always been fascinated by AI, engineering, and building products that solve real problems. Over time, one problem that kept catching my attention was technical hiring.
We spend so much time preparing engineers for coding interviews, but do traditional interviews really tell us how well someone can build software?
That's the question that led us to build Mindfries.
What is Mindfries?
We're building an AI-powered engineering assessment platform that helps companies evaluate candidates through practical engineering work.
Some things we're working on:
Real-world coding assessments.
Browser-based development environment.
System design assessments.
Tanu, our AI interviewer.
Rubric-based AI grading and detailed evaluation reports.
Evaluation of problem-solving, communication, and engineering decisions.
We're currently testing the platform and working towards making technical hiring more evidence-based.
A little about me: I'm particularly interested in AI engineering, agentic systems, and building products from scratch. I enjoy the entire process, from figuring out the problem to shipping something people can actually use.
I'd genuinely love to connect with other founders, engineers, builders, and people interested in AI.

I'm not here to pretend we have everything figured out. We're building, testing, learning, and improving.
Would love to know what everyone else is building these days!

Welcome to Product Hunt! Ranking people on what they actually shipped instead of keywords makes a lot of sense to me. I've been writing software for 28 years, and these days I don't read every line by hand anymore. I lean on end to end tests to tell me if something works. Do you look at how a candidate tests their own code, or mostly at the code itself?
