Hey, I’m Saf 👋 Have you ever loved a shirt but had no idea what goes with it?
Hey everyone 👋 I'm building an app for matchmaking your cloths.
Have you ever found a shirt or dress you really liked, brought it home, and then realized you had no idea what to wear with it? Because you thought it would be a match to what you got in your wardrobe?
Btw, it's a webapp and free to try out: luvloot.app
That has happened to me more times than I would like to admit.
I’m Saf, a product and UX designer. This problem has followed me for a long time, and every time I go shopping, I notice the same uncertainty in the people around me. We find one piece we love, but then comes the harder question: what actually goes with this? (Same problem when it comes to online shopping).
Like many people, I turned to Pinterest for outfit inspiration. The images look great, but recreating them in real life is another story. The colors are different. The materials, fit and proportions are different. Sometimes we like the overall outfit without knowing which exact pieces to choose or whether they will work with what we already own. Also what if you got a digital wardrobe which you can take anywhere. So when you see a shirt or pant or whatever clothing item. you can take photo of it and just ask: Will this go with my wardrobe items? if yes How can I style them?.
I have bought items that looked good on their own but were difficult to style, so they eventually stayed in my wardrobe. Online shopping creates the same problem. A product page can show how an item looks on a model, but it rarely helps us understand what to wear with it, whether it belongs in our wardrobe or whether we should buy it at all.
That experience led me to start building Luvloot, which I like to think of as matchmaking for your clothes. You begin with one piece you already own or are considering buying, and Luvloot helps find the pieces that work with it and turns them into complete outfit ideas.
I’m still early in this journey and learning as I build. I joined Product Hunt to meet other makers, learn from what everyone is creating and understand this problem from more perspectives.
When you find a piece of clothing you like, what makes you hesitate most: whether it suits you, what goes with it or whether you will actually wear it?
