From Coder to Growth Novice: My cognitive shift as a Solo Builder.
by•
Hi all, I am Yaoshen Luo. Here is my late self-introduction.
I’ve been in the industry for 14 years. I used to develop positioning and navigation systems for Baidu Maps, worked on recommendation engines, and eventually managed a team of 30+. Currently, I am deeply involved in the R&D of Voice Agent SaaS services.
After years of management, I realized I still love "building." But I also saw that future teams won't need dozens of people; they’ll need a new paradigm. I set out to become a solo builder.
Right now. I am developing some products and I hope I can connect you.

But it was only after the "building" was done that I faced the brutal reality of the real world.
I’ve realized that as building is much easier, the ability to discern demand and connect with users becomes much more precious. My previous definition of being a "builder" was too narrow. Now that I’m running these products myself, I truly understand how hard it is to earn a user's trust, get them to try your app, or even just get noticed.
