We’re adding managed AI usage to Intrascope. Here’s why.
Hi everyone,
When we first launched Intrascope, we focused on BYOK. Teams could connect their own API keys and use multiple AI models from one shared workspace.
That worked well for technical teams.
But after talking to users, founders and companies over the past few months, we noticed that many teams want something simpler.
They want to use AI across the company, but they don’t want to manage:
API keys
Provider accounts
Separate billing dashboards
Model setup
Individual AI subscriptions
Scattered chats and lost context
So we’re adding managed AI usage to Intrascope.
With this update, teams will be able to top up their workspace and use premium AI models directly through Intrascope, without setting up their own API keys.
The goal is simple:
Make AI easier to adopt for non-technical teams, while still giving companies structure, shared context, cost visibility and control.
For us, this feels like the next step in making Intrascope useful for a wider range of teams, not only those already familiar with APIs.
We’re preparing a new Product Hunt launch around this update soon, and I’d love to hear your thoughts before we go live.
Do you think managed AI usage makes more sense for most teams than asking them to bring their own API keys?

I think managed AI usage is probably easier for most non technical teams. BYOK works well for technical users but API keys, billing and model setup can become friction for the rest of the company. The key is making it simple w/o losing cost visibility, shared context and admin control
both honestly. technical teams want byok because they already have api keys and want cost control. non-technical teams just want it to work without thinking about providers. the answer is probably offering both and letting people choose instead of picking one for them
