About

I run marketing at HeadshotPhoto.io we do AI-powered headshots. Before that I spent way too many years figuring out what makes people click on things (still figuring it out honestly). I'm on PH mostly because I'm a product nerd and I like seeing what people are building. If something's cool, I'll tell you. If I have questions, I'll ask. Always down to talk about marketing, startups, or why your landing page isn't converting.

From civil engineering to Software developer

Hi everyone!

I'm a developer from Portugal. After 10 years working in civil engineering, I decided to make the leap into software development.

It's been a challenging but rewarding journey, and I've just reached a milestone I'm proud of: I built a social network that's now live in production. It's a small, privacy-focused project, and I learned a huge amount building it on my own.

Excited to be part of this community and to learn from everyone here. Happy to connect with other career-changers or anyone building solo!

Dev turned AI strategist. Here's what nobody told me before the switch

I have spent years as a developer before moving fully into AI workflow strategy and enterprise deployment work.

The honest thing nobody told me before the switch:

Hi PH Community! Super pumped to be here!

I'm Leo, an engineer at heart living in Australia (originally from Brazil, with a brief sting in Spain!). I've been in this industry for over 20 years doing everything from writing code to leading a hundred engineers and back again!
I'm currently building an AI agent platform (who isn't?) and it's been going on for a bit. The best way I can describe it is this: it's your own very capable intern with little lived experience. So it's teachable. And it adapts to the way you work. Early signals have been good (high quality, low volume).

I'm not quite ready, planning on doing that in a few days. Until then, just wanted to say hi!
