What actually made you quit a dating app? I don't think it was the bad dates.

Everyone talks about swipe fatigue like it's about volume. Too many faces, too little time.
I think the real reason people quit is the unpaid work. You write a profile that has to be funny but not trying, honest but not heavy. You pick six photos that somehow explain you. You open with something clever. Then half of it goes nowhere and you never find out why.
That's a part-time job with no feedback loop.
So I'm curious:
What was the last straw for you—the thing that made you delete the app?
Was it a person, or was it the admin?
Has anyone found a format where the effort felt worth it?
I build in this space, so I'm biased and I'll say so up front. But I'd rather hear where I'm wrong. What's your version of the last straw?
