Notes are short posts of up to 60 characters using just text and emojis. To leave a note, go to the top of your inbox, select the followers you follow back or people on your Close Friends list, and your note will appear at the top of their inbox

Instagram launched a few features in their latest update but the most notable is their tweet like function called notes. Instagram coming for twitter wasn't in my 2022 bingo card

@aaronoleary I initially had a similar thought re: Twitter, but it's really more like old school Facebook status updates being that it's shared among friends and less of a broadcast medium.

@rrhoover Old Facebook makes a lot more sense. Still, though, someone said "horizontal twitter" to describe it and I'm still laughing. I actually am excited to try this out, I'm pro anything that makes Instagram feel more personal
