The logo was long overdue for a revamp, ... but I wish they'd kept the old blue. That was a nice blue.
I like the change of main color, too much blue in the social media market (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin)
Only one thing to say - Thank you Instagram for NOT making your icon color the same shade of light blue as 90% of the app store.

What in the.. How much money and wasted man hours was spent on that? The mind is absolutely boggled.
Both Instagram's logo and app were in need of a re-design. The app seems cool, but that logo... In my opinion they turned one of the most recognizable and unique logos into a quite generic one. The only non-generic part, the color palette, would probably be the worst in the logo, though!
Generic logo, what else is new... Lets talk about the stoic black and white app design, and the fact that it now features black links!!

I prefer white background and camera with gradient

Love the video but don't like the logo. Either way will be used to it in a couple of weeks so yeah :)
