I built imgpact.com because I was genuinely frustrated with freemium image tools... You get 3 tries, then hit a wall: 'Wait 24 hours or pay.' That's not a tool, that's a hostage situation. So I built the opposite: fully free, truly unlimited, no account, no waiting. The other thing that bothered me was privacy. Most tools upload your files to their servers, which is unnecessary and creepy. imgpact runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly, so your images never leave your device. Zero uploads, zero storage, zero tracking. Fast, private, unlimited. That's it. As for the name image + impact, but I guess you understood that already.
