Hypo is a Mac app for reviewing RAW photos before import. It reads the SD card or camera (PTP works too) directly, so nothing is copied until you decide. It decodes the camera's autofocus data from the RAW maker notes and draws it on the preview: focus points in white, the detected subject in blue, the detected eye in red. Supported: Canon (CR2/CR3), Sony (ARW), Nikon (NEF), Fujifilm (RAF), Panasonic (RW2), Leica (RWL), Olympus (ORF), Pentax (PEF/DNG) and Ricoh (DNG). A histogram and an exposure preview (-2 to +2 EV, view only) help judge blown highlights and shadow detail. Workflow: plug in the card or camera, browse and filter, check focus and exposure full size, import the keepers to a folder or Apple Photos, delete the rest from the card. Hypo remembers what you already imported. Free, no account, no telemetry, signed and notarized, direct download. Requires macOS 15 or later. It's hobby software built for my own workflow; bug reports are welcome, including cameras it doesn't handle yet.
