What's new since launch: gentle feedback, and a surprise TV feature
Hey everyone,
First, thank you. Your support during our launch pushed HyperSleep to #4
Product of the Day, and it genuinely meant a lot. Here's what we've been
up to since.
New: sound and haptics
We added gentle feedback for the two moments that matter most: a soft
tactile tick as you set your bedtime dial, and a small buzz and chime
when you actually hit your sleep goal. The interesting design constraint
was that this fires right at bedtime, so the last thing anyone wants is a
surprise noise at 11pm. So it's fully optional, off behind a single
toggle, and it respects silent mode and Do Not Disturb. It turns hitting
your goal into the small win it should feel like, without ever being the
thing that keeps you up.
A fun surprise: we got on TV
HyperSleep was featured on WEAR News (ABC 3). Not something we expected
this early, and a nice reminder that "block your apps until you've
actually slept" resonates beyond the usual tech crowd.

What's next
We're exploring a 7-day sleep-debt view that sits beside your streak, so
the app reflects how rested you actually are, not just last night. Very
open to feedback on that one.
A question for the builders here: if you've shipped a feature that fires
at a sensitive moment (bedtime, focus mode, a break reminder), how did
you pick the defaults? We went "off by default, respect the system," but
I'd love to hear how others have handled it.
If you want to see it, HyperSleep is on Google Play:

Thanks again for being here.
