Hologram - Amazing widgets and wallpapers for your Mac desktop!

Hi Product Hunters! Rick and Jordan Ellis here—developers of Hologram. The idea for Hologram came after we asked ourselves whether the Mac desktop could be transformed into a more functional and fun environment. Hologram is our answer to that question. What excites us most is that Hologram widgets are built using web technologies (HTML, CSS, and Javascript). That means anyone experienced developing stuff for the web will be able to craft their own unique widgets. And just about anything that can be created for the web can be turned into a widget. Hologram ships with 26 included widgets (and more available at our site) that do things like show the weather, display system information, monitor the battery level, show the phase of the moon, give inspirational quotes or jokes, and much more. Widgets are fully customizable, and they can even automatically select colors from your wallpaper for a perfect match every time you switch wallpapers. But our vision is for there to be an entire ecosystem of widgets built by people around the world and freely shared on our website. On the wallpaper front, we’ve partnered with the three top image services in the world—Unsplash, Pexels, and Pixabay—and integrated their vast libraries of over 5 million images into Hologram so that users can quickly and efficiently search for new wallpapers. One click downloads the image and sets your desktop. And because Hologram is theme-based, it’s amazingly easy to build large collections of wallpapers and widgets, each with an entirely different look and feel. This is looking super cool! It wasn't 100% clear from the video, but can widgets also take user input after their setup @rickellis ?

Hologram looks very cool. I’m just about to upgrade to Big Sur, so might just take the plunge and grab this once I have.

Love it. I'm just beginning to explore the widget side of things but the search capability makes it so much easier to keep things lively on your desktop.

Just bought, looks great but some bugs. 1) I can not set my location 2) I can not delete background images And I see no support chat/email anywhere?

I love how customizable this is!

Retro Dashboard is my favorite widget so far and the slide out configurator is slick as.

Looks great! Do you guys have plans for calendar or music integration?
