Hi Product Hunt 👋 I built this because I kept failing the same test in museums: I'd recognise a painting instantly and have no idea who painted it. Knowing a painting isn't the same as knowing a painter, and nothing I found trained the second thing. So: you see a painting, you name the artist. That's the whole game. Four ways to play: — Today's five: the same five paintings for everyone, once a day — Solo: unlimited rounds, three lives, four wildcards — Duel: two players, one device (unreasonably good in a bar) — Learn: no clock, no lives, context first 1,398 paintings by 118 painters, from Giotto (1305) to Banksy. Free, no signup, no ads, and it runs in English, Spanish, French and Italian. The thing I didn't see coming: signatures. Plenty of painters signed their canvases, so on some works the correct answer is sitting in the corner in large friendly letters. Players can flag "the signature is visible" or "this looks like the wrong painting" from inside the game, and I blur or replace them. 222 reports so far, and they've caught mistakes I'd never have found on my own.
